I'm posting this political ad quickly because I suspect, and I expect, that it will be pulled down very shortly. It is, quite simply, the worst ad I have seen in years.
I hope Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Hermain Cain gets the GOP nomination.

The Republican field sux quite frankly Robert... and this ad is certainly weak...
But I hold to the notion that Anyone But Obama would be best for the country.

..and I suspect that it's a joke, spoof, parody. Got to be! Look at Mr. Cain laughing, if it is he. And do I see his manager smoking a joint? We just got a glimpse of it at the end of his declaration.

I don't know, Rochelle, there are no signs to me that this is satire and I'm not sure who the intended audience might be if it is a joke.
Rick, that's a perfectly fair position to take at this point. I believe the GOP field is weak because the Bush administration was such a colossal failure on every level that no one associated with it would have a hope in hell of winning so there's no bench strength in the party.
Powell might win if he'd run but even there, I'm not sure. Otherwise, they are all unelectable.

Robert, given your reference to reasons why the GOP field is weak and to remain consistent, my assumption is that the Dem field post the Obama reign will not just be weak, but damned near comatose...
Correct?

Obama inherited the worst mess in 80 years and, yes, he may ultimately be viewed as a failed President though it's too soon to tell.
To your point, how did the Democrats look in 1984 and 1988? No one associated with Carter could run a credible campaign because they were tinged with his failures.
Bush left a completely unviable set of candidates behind and the whack-jobs have run in to fill the vacuum.
Do you think Santorum, Bachmann or Cain are serious candidates if a former Secretary of State or former VP is in the field? No way.

Rick, on a topic unrelated to Bush, WTF were they thinking having this guy smoke, SMOKE, in this ad? I don't get what the message is even supposed to be. Is he supposed to look tough? "Look at me, I'm slowly killing myself and anyone around me and I like Cain."

It's generated a ton of buzz Robert... and money for the campaign is what I'm hearing... they may be wiser than the both of us...

Nothing would please me more.
