Comparing Swedes & Finns makes neither happy: they have a natural rivalry, akin to Aussies & Kiwis. The Swedes have a big brother attitude toward Finns. Finns, to put it bluntly, resent Swedes for their sense of superiority.
Both countries (along with Denmark) have modern economies and feature similarly advanced societies with have some of the happiest, healthiest people on the planet.
My question is how did these people, descendants of the mightiest seafaring marauders the planet has ever known, ever come up with such completely goofy-sounding languages?
